Gerard has taken thousands of photographs of landscapes throughout his life. Here are only a few recent examples of his work since begining to photograph with a “digital camera”.

“I currently do not photograph as many landscapes as I would like, being preoccupied with wildlife, insects and flowers. I hope to someday spend more time with the ‘regional landscape’ as subject matter. For now the aforementioned provide me with a larger challenge than that of the landscape; the landscape does not move for example such as a bird does. As an artist the landscape provides its own problems in terms of Canadian idealism of it and the fact that as Canadians we have ‘so much landscape’ living in the second largest country in the world. That said I did spend a period of my production as an artist during the 1980's painting the landscape and these paintings can be found by clicking the image link just below.” GP
